In December 2011, I purchased a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado "work truck" no frills four cylinder five speed manual with the Extended Cab. It is all white with no special trim whatsoever. It came with an after market Alpine Stereo / CD player unit with the number 7816 on its face. This simple unit has a power switch at the upper left. Next to it is a clock button. You do not need to turn on the ignition to play this unit, you simply push the power button. When you park the truck and shut it off, the radio can inadvertently be left on because its' power source is the battery and it isn't switched. Everything it this truck works in that same "bare bones" way. The passenger door does not even have a key lock. You can lock or unlock it manually at the passenger door handle. The windows crank up and down with a handle. My only problem with the bloody thing is figuring out how to set the clock which is way off. I've managed to hold down the clock button for two or more seconds and get the whole clock display to start flashing but I can't seem to figure out which buttons on the face of the unit adjust the time forward or back.
