This car of mine was actually more of a challenge thanfor car shows or anything. I have always been into cars ever since I was young, thanks to my mom surprisingly. She was into cars, and even had her a 88 Cougar all kitted up, which back in the early 90's was a big thing then. But, now I'm older, I wanted to continue the tradition, but of course with my own spin and flavor to it. So, on the project of mine, I nicknamed Midnight, I put a little bit of effort into it, right in the back of my house in my little garage. To start, I installed the 6.5" in dash screen (IVA-D100). This will be replced soon with an upgrade though so I can have my bluetooth and audio/video iPod playback. But the next part I wanted to obtain a good amount of power, without too much money, and be unique in the way I set up my amplifiers. So, for subwoofer amplification, I removed the backs of both the front seats, and custom-molded, with wooden frames and fiberglass, amp racks in the rear of the seats. Both amps being 600W RMS Class D (MRP-M650), together giving me ~ 1200W RMS. As far as the four channel goes, that was also custom molded in the trunk area away from the subs (MRP-F450). Lastly, for the subs, I wanted to challenge myself and see how many subs can I fit in the car without sucking up too much space, and of course sounding half decent. So, I decide to make a fiberglass wheel-well sub box, framed for 4 subs (SWS-1222D). Also, as you can see from the pictures, I installed custom front and rear bumpers, as well as the side skirts, angel eyes kits, 2 HID Kits for headlights and foglights, Konig Rims, flip-flop trunk conversion, 2 - 1 Farad Caps, and high-current alternator (not pictured). Now, I have done many other smaller jobs on other cars, but for this being my first car I've done on THIS scale by myself, I'm actually quite proud of it, and hope others can appreciate the work put into it. Hopefully in the near future, if money still permits, I wil continue to upgrade electrical and mechanical items on the car.
