Many men come and many go, but very few actually stay true to themselves (and their music or mission).. Born in Oakland, CA. and holding it down for Tampa, Florida and El Centro Cali I bring you BLKRAW.. One of the hottest underground artists to step up to the plate for 2009 with everything under his belt from running his own label, and sharing the stage with Rick Ross (and many others).. to combining Hip-Hop, R&B, and Hyphy with perfection and living on through his music for the brother he lost along the way.. This is dedication.. This is Loyalty.. This is RAW REALITY!

GLOK: The King of the V doing it Mafioso with the King of the EC... Live on "The Spot" and still on the clock it's ya dude GLOK and the next to blow from El. Centro CA. What's good pimpin?

BLKRAW: What's good with it my Niggs.

GLOK: Bang on em' brah... Let the world know who you are and who you do this for... Where you from?

BLKRAW: First let me say good looking on the interview pimp. This the homie "BLKRAW" reppin EC aka El Centro CA. Ya digg. To be real I do this music sh*t not only for me but, for my big brother Sean Fuller. This was his dream to make noise in this music industry. I truly believe he would have put on for the city.. Being that my niggs is dead and gone, I put in work to get to this point, and "put on for my city". I was born in Oakland CA., yet raised between El Centro CA. and Tampa FL. Don't get me wrong I got mad love for Tampa, But ya boy repp West Coast all day pimp.

GLOK: (On some old Eddie Murphy sh*t) I consider myself Black and Raw often so I feel ya... but I must know how you took on the name BLKRAW... What's the origin of your stage name?

BLKRAW: LOL.. Well growing up my big homies used to be like what’s good "black" so that name stuck with me, and as for the RAW "I could give you some bullsh*t **** story", but I'm not. I wanted a stand out name as well as something that reflects me, and RAW does just that. I was born with that name.. (lol).. It's my initials.. Besides now a days its "Lil" this or "young" that, but BLKRAW fits me perfect, along with my swagger ya digg.

GLOK: R.I.P. to your brother Sean Fuller... I bring him up not to open old wounds but because you have a very deep story as to how you were encouraged to pursue Hip-Hop/Music... Take me back to 97-98.

BLKRAW: Good looking pimp. Well I can remember this sh*t like it was yesterday. It was Oct. 12th 1998, when me and Sean were on our way back to El Centro, From San Diego. We stopped on 2nd St. to get some grub (my niggs loved him some damn Arby's lol). So we just talking **** etc. you know what big brother little brothers do ya digg.. Shortly after eating we leave Arby’s, and we hop on the I-8 East down to El Centro. If I knew what was about to happen an hour a head of time, my niggs would still be here ya digg.

GLOK: What caused the accident?

BLKRAW: So an hour into the drive we're coming thru the mountains and a heavy gust of wind fish tails the truck we are driving (causing Sean to lose control).. The truck flips 13 times with both of us getting ejected out of the truck. Sean died Nov. 3rd (eight days before his birthday). I walked out untouched WOW "now tell me that’s not RAW".. I thank GOD everyday, and because of him I'm here to do what Sean would have done.

GLOK: How did that affect you, you think?

BLKRAW: I would be lying if I said it didn't affect me, because it has.. To lose anyone is hard but it's even harder when it is ya "FAM" and your one and only brother/sister.. As the years go on, it makes me stronger.. It made me the man that I am today.

GLOK: What artists were your inspirations coming up?

BLKRAW: I would have to say Marvin Gaye, Temptations; LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, Heavy D, 2 Pac, B.I.G, Lupe, Kanye West, Lil Wayne.. My list goes on and on pimp (lol).

GLOK: Is BLKRAW more of a feel good Rapper/MC? or do you have lyrics and songs that speak of struggle?

BLKRAW: I'd say I have a little of both.. I enjoy making reality music meaning "the struggle" if it's in a song for the ladies or for my niggs, but above all I want to give something to the people not only in my hood or your hood etc.. But for ALL.. My goal is to have you like damn I can feel that.. or.. I been through something like that (so if it's R&B, HIP-HOP, or HYPHY you can feel me).

GLOK: You consider yourself "Da RRapper"... What is your true passion, Hip-Hop or R&B? and how do you describe your style (you seem like a ladies man, but I noticed you also fall in the Hyphy category)?

BLKRAW: My true passion is music.. No matter if it's R&B, Hip-Hop or Hyphy I have fun doing it all. Yet I call myself the RRapper because I don’t have a problem making them tracks for my ladies. Most of these artist out here faking.. They rap about this hard **** but they not really out there like that.. BLKRAW raps/talks about **** I really do, just so happens it falls in the ladies category ya dig.. With that said I got a song called "I'm Fresh" and I got a line in that song that goes like this.. " why you looking at me mayne with ya damn mean mug, cause you think im RI won't give it to ya brah?!?".

GLOK'S BLKRAW REPORT: Top 4 Hip-Hop albums? Top 4 R&B?

BLKRAW: Hip-Hop 1. 2Pac (Me Against The World) 2. Notorious Big (Ready 2 Die) 3. Snoop Dog (Doggy Style) 4. Dr. Dre (The Chronic). R1. R Kelly (12 Play) 2.Jodeci (Forever My Lady) 3.Boyz II Men (Evolution) 4. Mary J (My Life)

GLOK: How do you feel about Hip Hop nowadays? and what scene (New York or the West Coast) do you think will come back first after the South cools down?

BLKRAW: To be real I feel some artists have gotten away from hip hops roots.. I won't get into names but I think we can both agree. So most of this shi*t is watered down with BS but I'm not mad (you got to let artists express themselves). For example I feel we need a LL Cool J type MC back in this game for the ladies etc. (but gets mad respect), and you just might be interviewing him now (lol).. I would say both (NY and The West Coast) are still here and haven't left, but we just have to give credit to the South for doing the damn thang right now ya digg.

GLOK: Opening up for hitters like E-40, Nina Sky, B real, and Rick Ross is proof you been grindin.. What is your biggest accomplishment (personally) thus far in your music career?

BLKRAW: I would say my biggest accomplishment would be making a name for myself and getting noticed for what I do best/love.. MY MUSIC.

GLOK: How did you end up performing in Mexico (how was that)? and what is the wildest thing a groupie/female has done to get your attention-or back stage?

BLKRAW: Well the homie Big Slick was cool with my big brother Sean and I had got at him about performing somewhere.. He told me he had some sh*t coming up, and was like give me your demo and I'll see what I can do so I did.. Next thing I knew I had a show in Mexico to open up for.. All I can say was they treated a ni**a like a GOD pimp. As far as groupies/females I had a female try and take my pants off while I was on stage.. (lol).. sh*t was funny.

GLOK: Tell me about this project you have going on with Tango a.k.a Mr. I Dumped Tiffany Live (from the "I Love New York" show)... Is that a music collabo? and how did you hook that up?

BLKRAW: Yeah this is a music collab. on a song called "Swag Like Mind". To be real pimp that one kind of fell at my door step. I was at AMV Studio's in Tampa and ya boy Tango was in there.. I was working on the song with John Wayne and he (Tango) heard the song and was like yo I'm feeling this track can I jump on it?.. I was like let's do the damn thang ya dig.. The big homie blessed it and the rest is history.

GLOK: You look like you would pull a Ray J and end up with your own Bachelor-type dating show looking for love... Would you be able to handle it (or are you off the market)?

BLKRAW: I would NEVER get on a damn show looking for LOVE (lol), unless the price was right (lol) ya dig. Other than that sorry ladies but BLKRAW is no longer "on" the market.

GLOK: I was zoning off that new track "Something's" you put up on your profile (nice)... You said it was dedicated to ALL your ex-girls... Have you had your heart broken a lot? or have you always been the heart breaker?

BLKRAW: Good Look my niggs. Yeah I have had my heart broken ONCE and only once.. Yet I have broken a few hearts myself (can't lie).. These experiences allow me to make hit records like "Something’s".

GLOK: What's your favorite Gangster Movie?

BLKRAW: Yall cats looking for Scarface or some sh*t (lol).. Nope not me.. "Juice" is a gangster **** movie to "me".. 2Pac was a beast.

GLOK: Your bio quotes you as saying, "I am a missing link in Hip-Hop"... That's strong brah... I need you to tell me what link you are... and what other links Hip-Hop is missing?

BLKRAW: BLKRAW is that link that makes REAL music from the heart not giving a damn what the next ni**a got to say.. I don’t have to lie on my records to get "HOOD LOVE".. I don't sell dream's-I speak REALITY. Everyone that comes out (NOW) wants to be from the streets, so I feel it is my calling to present the youth with good Hip Hip/Rmusic that's positive and not talking about killing or selling drugs.. Hell I came from the struggle yet I decide "NOT" to talk about the same ol' sh*t we hear in songs.. Hip-Hop is missing artists like MC Hammer (he made you dance.. feel good), Heavy D, Scarface, Method Man, Wu-Tang, Pac, Biggie, and Snoop etc.. Yet we got crank that Super Man?

GLOK: What's the business with your label LOWKASHRECORDZ? What's your mission? and what can we expect from your camp in 2009?

BLKRAW: LKR is my label.. I started it in 2006 (then I signed myself), along with BIG MAYNE, D-STATS, and POINT PLINK all of us together are like a new G-UNIT and "I am the 50".. My mission is to one day be a well know indie label so I can give back to my people. For the 09' you can expect to get that New BLKRAW Album/EP.. BIG MAYNE's Mix Tape/Album dropping sometime in 09' also SO STAY TUNED pimpin.

GLOK: Congrats on your ichooz.tv 2008 Hip-Hop Master win also... Give me the scoop on this hot debut CD (featuring Rick Rock who has produced hits for Jay-Z and many others) you got cookin up.. Where can we copp 6 copies? Release dates? and do you have any last words for the fans?

BLKRAW: Yeah I got a track called "Meet Me In My Room" which was produced by Rick Rock.. I was under management by Jeffery Singleton when I got this track.. It’s a track for the ladies and their going to love it.. "P.S.T THE ALBUM (Pain, Sweat, Tears)" COMING OUT SOON!! Catch it on CD Baby, iTunes, my MySpace etc.. TBA so far (yet to set a date) but we will keep everyone posted.. To all BLKRAW fans I would like to say THANK YOU all for your support, and without you BLKRAW wouldn't be here.. Make sure yall keep showing the boy love because you know I'll show it back, "RAW".

GLOK: Keep doing it for the love... The "Fame" will flow... Black Power and giving it to em' Raw is all I know... Stay sharp King and Thanks for the cigar.

BLKRAW: Fasho pimp.. Only way I know how, and thanks again for the opportunity GLOK. www.myspace.com/blkraw
